Interesting presentation thanks, and very easy to understand, with good graphics.
What I don’t quite understand though is: Levadopa type medication (Sinemet, Madopar) was invented some 50 years ago, and yet the majority of studies into new treatment seem to be mainly in Stage II trials. You would have thought after 50 years, trials would be further along? My guess is that it took time to develop the science, plus the usual fight for funding. Great news that things will get better by 2030/2040 that’s too late for many of us. Anyway I’m certainly grateful for medications we have today – without them, mid and late stage disease would be no fun at all.
