Thank you for a super interesting presentation! I’m so glad this type of exercise is being looked into and adapted. I’m one of the PwP who uses virtual reality exercising and LOVE IT! Mostly I use Meta Quest Supernatural (which I believe is an app only available in the North American region unless you use VPN). It has significantly reduced stiffness and pain in my shoulders. It is easy to stick to because there are sessions as short as 10 minutes and I don’t need any special clothes or drive to a gym or anything like that… I can fit in a session at night after it’s to dark to exercise outside, or in the morning while my son is still asleep, etc. Very flexible around every person’s schedule and commitments. As far as cost, yes, I paid for the device and the app, but I don’t need to drive anywhere or be a member of a gym or need any special sports clothes or equipment. The gamified aspect keeps me engaged with good music, virtual coaches who meet me at my own ability level, and if I want there is an individual streak and score I may be motivated by.
