Balance issues are common in Parkinson’s, but did you know that your vestibular system could be a big part of the problem? The vestibular system, located in your inner ear, helps your brain understand movement and spatial orientation. When this system is impaired — either by peripheral or central vestibular dysfunction — it can lead to symptoms like dizziness, motion sensitivity, nausea, falls, and even freezing of gait (FOG). Good news: your vestibular system can be challenged and improved by exercises.
